Delete your Breakpoints account

This page explains how to delete your account for the Breakpoints app, operated by Goatee Avengers UG (haftungsbeschränkt), and the data that belongs to it.

In the app

Open Breakpoints and go to Settings.
Choose "Delete account" and confirm.
Your account is deleted after 24 hours. Until then you can cancel the deletion in the app.

Without the app

Send an email from the address of your account to hello@goateeavengers.com with the subject "Delete my Breakpoints account".
We delete the account within 30 days at the latest and confirm it by email. You do not need to reinstall the app.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in data, including all sessions
Your subscriptions and sources with their preferences
Your feed, including saved articles, shared links and reading state
Reading and usage events and the statistics built from them
Received newsletter mail and your personal inbound address
Extraction error reports you sent

What is kept, and for how long

Encrypted database backups are kept for 7 days. Your data can remain in a backup for that long and is gone once the backup expires.
Crash and error reports at Sentry are kept for up to 90 days. They contain no email addresses.
A record that the deletion took place, with the email address of the account, as proof that we carried out your request.

No statutory retention duties apply to other data of yours. Details are in the privacy policy.

Breakpoints-Konto löschen

Diese Seite erklärt, wie du dein Konto für die Breakpoints-App, betrieben von Goatee Avengers UG (haftungsbeschränkt), und die zugehörigen Daten löschst.

In der App

Öffne Breakpoints und gehe zu den Einstellungen.
Wähle „Konto löschen“ und bestätige.
Dein Konto wird nach 24 Stunden gelöscht. Bis dahin kannst du die Löschung in der App widerrufen.

Ohne App

Schreibe von der E-Mail-Adresse deines Kontos eine Mail an hello@goateeavengers.com mit dem Betreff „Delete my Breakpoints account“.
Wir löschen das Konto spätestens innerhalb von 30 Tagen und bestätigen das per E-Mail. Du musst die App dafür nicht neu installieren.

Was gelöscht wird

Dein Konto und deine Anmeldedaten samt aller Sitzungen
Deine Abonnements und Quellen mit ihren Einstellungen
Dein Feed samt gespeicherter Artikel, geteilter Links und Lesestatus
Lese- und Nutzungsereignisse und die daraus gebildete Statistik
Eingegangene Newsletter-Mails und deine persönliche Empfangsadresse
Extraktionsfehler-Meldungen, die du geschickt hast

Was bleibt, und wie lange

Verschlüsselte Datenbank-Backups werden 7 Tage aufbewahrt. So lange können deine Daten noch in einem Backup enthalten sein; mit dem Ablauf des Backups sind sie weg.
Absturz- und Fehlerberichte bei Sentry werden bis zu 90 Tage aufbewahrt. Sie enthalten keine E-Mail-Adressen.
Ein Vermerk über die Löschung mit der E-Mail-Adresse des Kontos, als Nachweis, dass wir deine Anfrage ausgeführt haben.
